About us

About Stephen & Lucy

Your hosts are a custom upholsterer and a passionate cook so you are guaranteed a comfy stay with freshly prepared, local food to enjoy.  We grow our own vegetables and salad; our chickens provide the eggs; Lucy’s mum makes the marmalade; Lucy makes the jam; the local bakers make the bread and the meat is from the local butcher just down the road whom we supply beef to and we now source our milk from a local dairy less than 4 miles away.

If you are feeling crafty you can even join one of Lucy’s popular upholstery courses run in her garden workshop, held at weekends and during the week.  Arrive with a chair fit for the tip and go home with a masterpiece to be proud of.

Lucy and Stephen will do everything they can to ensure you have a great time in their relaxed and friendly home.

The Working Farm

Huntlands Farm is a family run working farm of some 500 acres situated on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County border.

Lucy, Stephen, John (Lucy’s father) and family primarily farm beef cattle with a growing herd of Longhorns plus a few sheep.  The farm is also home to Walter the donkey, and his companion friend, Gordon the mini-Shetland pony.

Keeping them company are the numerous free-range chickens who provide fresh eggs for the breakfast table as well as an old gander goose, 3 cheeky dogs and 2 naughty cats.

Our historical properties

The beautiful unspoilt countryside is on the doorstop for you to enjoy.  It’s a unique, rural retreat experience where you can stay in an authentic 15th century red brick and timber framed farmhouse with its superb Georgian-fronted red brick house, both of which have wonderful views of the farmyard and the fields with the animals grazing.
